Once again, New York… here we come!

PMCIE 2013 is the third group from Philippine Montessori Center to be invited to stage a concert in New York. These very young musicians will be featured together with the Temple Hill International School Music Ensemble in a back to back concert, entitled,  “Pinoys to the World: A Celebration of the Filipino Musical Artistry ” with the world-renowned, Philippine Madrigal Singers at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Music Center, NY  on May 28, 2013 at 3:00 and 7:30 p.m. 

PMCIE is a percussion ensemble of tot-musicians ages 4 to 6. For their solo numbers, they will play First movement of Mozart’s Symphony No.41 in C, popularly known as “Jupiter,” Kabalevsky’s Comedian’s Gallop, and our very own, Aking Bituin. Their collaborative musical numbers with THISME and The Madrigal Singers include Waltz No.2 from Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite, Prayer of St. Francis by Allen Pote, and a medley of Philippine love and patriotic songs.

As a send-off, PMCIE,THISME, and the Philippine Madrigal Singers will have a farewell concert on April 28, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City.
